Gannett Peak - Aug '10
This was one of the most amazing places I've ever been.
Gannett Peak 13,804ft (4.208m) is the highest mountain in Wyoming.
The mountain is the most remoute of all the state high points in the lower 48 states, is commonly climbed on a four to six day round-trip and is considered amongst mountaineers as second only to Alaska's Mount McKinley in difficulty of state high points.
4 of us spent 3 to 4 days in Wind River Range to climb Gannett Peak.
Total hours spent hiking: 36,
Miles hiked: 55,
Total elevation gain for hike: 11,500ft.
