Palisade Traverse - Sep '10

Successful – fourth attempt of Palisade Range traverse - Premier alpine climb in the entire Sierra Nevada.
During the first attempt, after summiting Thunderbolt Peak (14,003 ft = 4.268 m) I hurt my leg and ceased hiking.
In the second attempt, after Thunderbolt Peak (14,003 ft = 4.268 m) and Starlight Peak (14,200 ft = 4.328 m) we gave up below North Palisade because of lack of rope.
In the third attempt, after Thunderbolt Peak (14,003 ft = 4.268 m) we gave up because of Zijo's altitude sickness.
This time we spent two nights at higher elevation for acclimatization and completed Palisade Traverse - five 14-ners:
Thunderbolt Peak (14,003 ft = 4.268 m);
Starlight Peak (14,200 ft = 4.328 m);
North Palisade (14,242 ft = 4.341 m);
Polemonium (14, 080 ft = 4.292 m);
Mount Sill (14,153 ft = 4.314 m)
in one day.
Total Elevation Gain: ~9,000 ft +
Car-to-car Climbing/Hiking Time: ~32 hrs +
We climbed this demanding traverse in the memory of Adis Kurtovich.
