Disappointment Peak - Sep '06
Disappointment Peak (11,618 ft = 3.541 m) was the first high mountain summited by our frind Adis Kurtovic.
When four Colorado climbers, led by Phil Smith (soon to become the first park ranger), set out to climb the Grand Teton in 1925, they found an impasse on this peak where a 450' drop is encountered to the saddle between the two summits. After a failed rappel attempt, they gave the peak this moniker.
