Island Peak

Local expedition organizer was Asian Trekking company. I came to Kathmandu (4,692ft = 1.430m) on Apr 1st. Approaching Everest Base Camp I had flight to Lukla (9,318ft = 2.840m) on Apr 4th, hiked up through Khumbu Valley, turned right (east) to Imja Valley and climbed Island Peak: 20,305ft or 6.198m on Apr 13th. The purpose was to have one rotation less through deadly Khumbu Glacier IceFall. I reached BC on Apr 17th.
