Gokyo village (4.750 m). There are five glacier lakes in Gokyo Valley. Gokyo village is on the third one. All lakes are located on western moraine of Ngozumpa glacier, the longest (36 km) in Himalaya.

BC is located on the fourth lake

Beautiful Khangchung or UIAAA Peak (6.063 m) just above (south) Gaunara glacier. Unclimbed so far.

BC is located on the fourth lake. Part of impressive Ngozumpa glacier, the longest in Himalaya (36 km), is visible.

North from BC Mahalangur Himalaya range is visible, part of which is Cho Oyu (8.201 m), on the left side, sixth highest mountain in the world.

Everest (8.850 m) and Lhotse (8.516 m), on the right, the fourth highest mountain in the world as seen over Gaunara glacier.

The fifth lake is the highest in Gokyo Valley. Cho Oyu BC is usually established on its north side. Above is Cho Oyu (8.201 m), the sixth highest mountain in the world.

We are moving towards Mt Everest (8.850 m), the highest mountain in the world.

Advanced Base Camp (ABC) on 5.300 meters. In the middle of photo, Burke Khang (6.942 m) is finally visible.

Towards the first camp (C1) we need to negotiate about 600 meters of the headwall.

Slope in snow was up to 68 degrees.
